ITV Good Morning Britain: ‘Shut up!’ Joe Swash storms off set after Ben Shephard jibe
GOOD MORNING BRITAIN presenter Joe Swash ended up walking off set today after getting a good ribbing from Ben Shephard about his wardrobe malfunction.
GMB: Joe Swash walks off set after trouser jibe
Joe was wearing some unusually short trousers on Good Morning Britain today as he appeared on the ITV show to deliver the latest entertainment views.
But hosts Susanna Reid and Ben couldn’t help but gently mock their co-star over his wardrobe choice.
Ben joked that it looked as though he’d come to work in his 12-year-old son’s trousers.
“What is really cute this morning is that Joe has come in with Harry’s trousers on,” Ben remarked.
They’re not kid’s trousers
Susanna joked: “And did Harry steal your socks?”
“I ordered them from a website and they arrived yesterday,” Joe explained. “I didn’t try them on till this morning. “
Ben interjected: “Did you order them from Gap Kids?”
“They’re not kids trousers, Ben,” Joe exclaimed.
“Why are they so short then?” Ben questioned before asking Joe to stand up.
As the presenter got up from his seat, Susanna observed: “They don’t get any longer!”
Joe continued: “What I done was, I thought I’d go for ultra skinny.”

Later on in the programme when Joe returned to give an entertainment report he was the target of the trio’s ridicule once more.
After watching a clip of Curtis Pritchard dispensing advice in Love Island, Joe said he’d turn to the dancer for advice because he’d “be handy”.
Ben chimed in: “Yeah he would. Like ‘don’t go to school in your son’s trousers’.”
“That’s a cheap shot that, that’s a cheap shot. Unlucky about the penalty though,” Joe retorted, referring to the weekend’s Soccer Aid match.
“Let’s go to VAR on the trousers,” Ben jested.
“Debbie! Sort these trousers out will ya!” Joe declared as Ben replied: “Robert said you’ve put them on a hot wash, Joe.”
“Shut up Ben!” he declared as he walked off towards the door, but Ben continued to read out messages that had been sent in.
“Piers says ‘Joe’s ankles must be hungry’,” Ben related as Joe shouted from the door: “Go on, carry on with the news, do you need me?”
Joe, clearly enjoying the good-natured mocking, walked away as Ben called after him: “You’ve left the door open.”
“Congratulations Joe, it’s lovely to see you,” Susanna shared.
Joe turned around to shut the door as he yelled: “See you later!”
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
