BBC One will not air Strictly Come Dancing 2019 until the autumn, but line-up rumours are already emerging. Chris Evans leads the rumoured line-up after he seemed to confirm his appearance on a recent edition of The One Show. Evans has also hinted that Fearne Cotton will be on Strictly Come Dancing this year.

Chris Evans
Radio DJ Chris Evans revealed on The One Show that: “I have said yes.”
He then revealed he has already discussed being on the show with Strictly’s commissioning editor Jo Wallace.
Fearne Cotton
Chris Evans also seemed to confirm that fellow DJ and TV presenter Fearne Cotton was also due to appear on the BBC dancing show.
He said she was “teetering on the brink” but that “it will ultimately be a huge, massive sequin-covered yes”.
Huw Edwards
Many newsreaders have taken to the dancefloor in the past, and Huw Edwards could be the latest to don sequins for Strictly.
He told Steve Wright: “I think I’ve just got to ponder it over the summer… just gauge public opinion.”
Alan Carr
The Chatty Man himself Alan Carr has said he thinks he’ll do Strictly in the future but it is unlikely to be next year.
He told Radio Times: “I would love to do the show at some point but I’ve got lots coming up in 2019 including a few TV things and a stand-up tour, so it’s going to be very busy.”
Louis Theroux
Documentary maker Louis Theroux seemed to throw his hat into the ring for Strictly following a cheeky joke on Twitter.
After fellow BBC documentarian Stacey Dooley won the show, he tweeted: “Congrats, @StaceyDooley ! Me next! (JK) [just kidding]”
Deborah James
Radio presented Deborah James, who presents cancer show You, Me and the Big C, is campaigning hard to be in the Strictly Come Dancing 2019 cast.
James has been encouraging fans to tweet the hashtag #bowelbabeforstrictly to get herself on the show.
Scarlett Moffatt
Googlebox and I’m a Celebrity star Scarlett Moffatt has also expressed her willingness to be on Strictly and the star was actually taught how to dance by Anton du Beke as a child.
She told The Mirror: “I’ve always loved Strictly – I’d love to be on it.”
Radio Times has also sparked rumours that celebrities like Bez, Rylan Clark-Neal and Vogue Williams could be on Strictly next year.
They also speculate that Strictly 2019 will see Call the Midwife and Doctor Who cast members take to the dance floor.
