The Order on Netflix ending explained: What happened at the end of The Order?
THE ORDER was only released on Netflix earlier this week, but some fans have already made it to the ending. But what happened at the end of The Order and can Edward Coventry’s evil plan be explained?

Netflix subscribers have been watching The Order since it dropped on the streaming service last week and many of them have made it to the end of the supernatural drama. The Order ending explained how The Order season two might start after Jack Morton (played by Jake Manley) had his memories taken away. The Order ending on Netflix also seemed to set up Vera Stone (Katherine Isabelle) as the villain of the next series.
What happened at the end of The Order?
The Order with the Blue Rose members blowing their magic dust at werewolves Jack Morton (Jake Manley), Randall Carpio (Adam DiMarco), Gabrielle (Louriza Tronco) and Hamish Duke (Thomas Elms).
Whereas this magic usually only removes the victim’s most recent memories, at the end of The Order Jack cannot even remember his own name, suggesting stronger magic is at play.
Prior to this, however, Jack was central in stopping the evil plan of his father Edward Coventry (Max Martini).
Edward was planning to bind with the Vade Mecum to take over the world, but first, he has to perform a ceremony requiring the sacrifice of his first-born son.
Edward thinks that this means he must kill Maddox (Christian Michael Cooper), who they have kidnapped, but in reality it is Jack he must sacrifice.
Hamish and Randall want Edward to go ahead and kill Maddox to ruin the ritual, but the other cast members are unwilling to allow a child to die to stop Edward.
Jack confronts Edward, revealing that he is the leader of the Order’s son.
Edward then tries to do the ritual with what he thinks is his son Jack.
However, what looks like Jack is actually the Golem, which Jack has summoned to take his place.
The Golem appeared previously in the series in the form of Jack’s roommate Clay (Dylan Playfair), whom Jack vanquished when he was brought to life to kill a pledge to The Order.
When Edward goes to kill the Golem in the form of Jack, this causes the sacrifice to go wrong, sucking Edward into the Vade Mecum.
Vera then covers this book with Nephilim’s Tears, a potion that removes spells from objects.
This causes the book to catch alight and seemingly get destroyed.
However, the book is later seen in the possession of Vera, suggesting she may have been drawn in by its legendary power too.
Though this feels like the end of Edward, he too could return, as the show has previously seen bodies been brought back out of the book.
Fans will have to wait for news of The Order season two, however, to find out what these moments for the ending mean for the next series.
