The Crown: Militant trade unionist Arthur Scargill appears on royal drama
FANS of The Crown have been given a glimpse of the political drama which enveloped Britain in the Seventies with Arthur Scargill at its heart.
Irish actor David Wilmot has taken on the role of the union leader in the show which focuses on the miners' strikes, and Elizabeth II's reign during the Sixties and Seventies. A former Horlicks factory in Slough, Berkshire, was transformed for a re-enactment of the 1972 Battle of Saltley Gate, Birmingham, for the hit series.

Scargill, who founded the Socialist Labour Party in 1996, is now 81 - and a Brexiteer.
Ben Daniels, who plays Princess Margaret's ex-husband Lord Snowdon, was spotted on the set of The Crown, season three, for the first time with Australian actress Jessica De Gouw as Snowdon's second wife Lucy Hogg.
Ben, 54, and Jessica, 30, were snapped in a classic Triumph car in London's Notting Hill.
