GMB: Richard jokes about Piers Morgan's three-week break
Piers Morgan will be taking a short break from Good Morning Britain to go on a trip around America.
The ITV host announced his departure last week and today he revealed it would be his last show for three weeks.
While Piers may be excited for his break, his co-star’s took it as an opportunity to take a swipe.
“If you’re leaving for three weeks, lighting can take a break,” Richard Arnold joked.
Piers appeared furious as he stared down the camera, clearly unimpressed by Richard’s comment.
However, his co-hosts Susanna Reid and Charlotte Hawkins could be heard chuckling.
“Wow, wow,” Piers began. “Lucky I can take a joke.”
Later in the show, Susanna also took a cheeky swipe at the star.
As they discussed the decision for there to be no host at the Oscars, Piers went on a small rant.
“When are you leaving?” Susanna asked. “It’s not early enough for me.”
Piers laughed: “You’re chasing me half way around the world.”
“I am under contract to present with you at the Oscars,” Susanna hit back.
Earlier today, the 48-year-old shared a snap of herself with Piers on Twitter.
Susanna could be seen smiling at the camera as Piers pulled a face.
“Sadly, our last morning together for three weeks… @gmb,” Susanna captioned the shot

It comes after Piers told viewers last week: “I’m going to Texas in two weeks but I’m not going to a rodeo with you.”

Piers said that the “B team” would be stepping in to present as he took a break.
Susanna joked: “What are we going to do without you when you go to Texas and it’s not Piers Morgan’s Good Morning Britain?”
