Strictly Come Dancing 2018: ‘It’s your fault’ Giovanni Pernice SNAPS at Faye Tozer
STRICTLY COME DANCING 2018 professional Giovanni Pernice made a shock admission to his partner Faye Tozer during the final episode of It Takes Two this evening, hours before the grand final.
Strictly: Giovanni blames Faye for why he’s been ‘hard on her’
Giovanni, 28, and Faye, 42, joined BBC spin-off host Zoe Ball, 48, to discuss their experience on Strictly Come Dancing.
Ahead of tomorrow night’s final, Giovanni revealed it was as if he had “won the lottery” having been partnered with Faye.
However, Zoe then questioned him about his teaching style, telling Giovanni he had gone hard on her during training.
Giovanni then blamed his partner for his style of working, telling Faye “it’s your fault" in reply to Zoe’s question.
It’s your fault
Speaking of her experience, Faye admitted: “It’s so much harder than when you’re watching a viewer.
“You see the beautiful performances at the end of the week and they look effortless,” the Strictly star continued.
Faye then added: “We just went full force and did as much as we possibly could,” at which point Zoe pulled Giovanni up on his teaching.
“Your teaching skills have been quite disciplinarian Giovanni. You’ve been hard on her,” Zoe told him.
Giovanni then blamed Faye: “I have, I think it’s because... it’s your fault,” to which she and Zoe laughed.
“She has given me the chance to develop myself on the show and try something new, something different from the usual ballroom choreography,” he went on to explain.
“I think it’s just because I knew you had something and I knew your commitment to the show. All of it has been brilliant.
"I have to say thank you to you, for giving me the chance to get on board and do something great.”
Following on from Giovanni’s explanation, Faye added: “Your choreography, you’ve got such a creative, amazing talent with your choreography… there’s always been something really magical about each dance.”
Speaking more about her time on the show, the former pop star explained: “It’s just glorious, it really is. So many beautiful dances and so many different styles and challenges.”
Praising his partner, Giovanni said: “We did a small part in the group number in the beginning and I touched this girl and knew there was something special.”
Strictly: Joe and Dianne cry after their montage
“I always say I won the lottery. I was really happy and still am,” the Italian dancer admitted.
Looking ahead at their three routine’s this weekend, Faye explained rehearsals hadn’t gone as smoothly as she had hoped.
“We rehearsed this morning there were a couple of little hiccups but nothing that wasn’t resolved.”
Joe Sugg, 27, and his partner Dianne Buswell, 29, were in tears this evening having watched their video montage of their time on the BBC dance show.
Having kept himself composed for the majority of his interview with Zoe, Joe was seen dabbing his eyes in the closing moments as his friends and family praised him for his efforts.
Strictly Come Dancing concludes Saturday at 6.30pm on BBC One.
