Stacey Dooley: ‘Keep your legs together’ Kevin Clifton’s warning to Strictly star
STACEY DOOLEY appeared on It Takes Two this evening alongside professional partner Kevin Clifton, who had some important advice for the Strictly Come Dancing star.
Strictly: Kevin tells Stacey Dooley to close her legs
Strictly Come Dancing contestant Stacey Dooley was reflecting on her performance in Blackpool when her partner Kevin issued a stern warning to the star.
Last week, Stacey scored 33 points for her Salsa but her lifts were criticised by judge Darcey Bussell.
Reflecting on the routine, the 31-year-old noted: “Such a nice feeling when the crowd get behind you, they are on your team, they’re on your side.”
“It does carry you,” added host Zoe Ball.
“You crammed so many lifts into it as well.
“And, when Darcey said they could have been a bit cleaner, she got booed by everybody.
“But you seemed to agree Stacey, you were like, ‘Oh yeah, I didn’t shut my legs.’”
Stacey giggled at Zoe’s comment as the host quickly apologised: “Sorry, sorry.”
“I’ve been saying it all week, ‘Stacey, keep your legs together,’” her professional partner Kevin revealed.
Stacey went on to add: “I can’t say how many people have asked me to close my legs.
“I’ve been saying it all week, ‘Stacey, keep your legs together'
“For some reason, I just won’t listen.
“But they are right, there are a couple of bits I could have been better.”
This week, Stacey and Kevin are set to perform the Paso Doble.
The pair will dance to Malaguena by Brian Setzer.
Kevin revealed the pair have been training for long hours in order to perfect their routine.
It comes after it was revealed Stacey is no longer favourite to win this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
The documentary-maker has been overtaken by Joe Sugg, who’s odds have been slashed to 6/4 to win.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Joe's all the rage with punters after Blackpool.
“If this level of support continues we'll be forced to slash his odds even further."
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday on BBC One at 6.50pm.
