X Factor: Final sixteen singers given MAKEOVER for live show
The X Factor 2018 live shows have started.
The second live show of this year’s X Factor aired last night (Saturday, October 27) on ITV.
The live shows will see this year’s X Factor judges Simon Cowell, Ayda Field, Louis Tomlinson and Robbie Williams looking on as their 16 finalists perform live for the first time.
The second result show airs tonight (Sunday, October 28)at 8pm on ITV.
How many live shows are there?
The X Factor 2018 will have 14 live shows.
Over the next seven weeks, we will have seven Saturday shows and seven results shows on Sundays.
This means that we will find out who the winner of The X Factor 2018 is on the weekend of Saturday, December 1.
With 16 finalists this year, it is likely that we will see two acts leave every week, leaving us with four in the final.
The final 16 acts are:
Overs - mentored by Ayda Field
- Danny Tetley
- Giovanni Spano
- Olatunji Yearwood
- Janice Robinson
Girls - mentored by Simon Cowell
- Shan Ako
- Scarlett Lee
- Bella Penfold
- Molly Scott
Boys - mentored by Louis Tomlinson
- Armstrong Mathis
- Brendan Murray
- Anthony Russell
- Dalton Harris
Groups - mentored by Robbie Williams
- Acacia & Aaliyah (originally A Star)
- LMA Choir
- Misunderstood
- United Vibe (originally Vibe 5)
As with last year, there will be no Xtra Factor on ITV2.
The show was cancelled in January 2017, with Thames TV managing director Richard Holloway saying, “ITV’s strategy to focus their efforts on digital means The Xtra Factor on linear television has come to its natural end.”
This is also the first year that 16 acts have made it through to the finals.
The X Factor airs every Saturday and Sunday on ITV
