Peter Kay’s Comedy Shuffle: 'Legend' Fans elated by comedian’s triumphant return to TV
PETER KAY’S COMEDY SHUFFLE began this evening and showcased the best of the comedian’s repertoire - and fans were delighted during the nostalgic episode.

Tonight’s first foray into Peter Kay’s Comedy Shuffle returned Peter’s fans to many of his best known acts and sketch shows.
The clip show broadcast the most well known comedic moments from the seemingly endless variety of characters Peter is best known for.
While his stand up remained the staple of the show, many of Peter’s TV shows made grand appearances.
Most notably Max and Paddy’s Road to Nowhere clips showed off the titular pair famously killing a cow.
Meanwhile the Phoenix Nights scenes demonstrated the best of the talent competitions originally plastered on screen.
Even newer shows like Peter Kay’s Car Share showed off his best comedy hits.
And fans were elated by the return of Peter’s comedy, as they began expressing their gratitude on Twitter.
One wrote: “Laughing so much there are tears #PeterKaysComedyShuffle @peterkay_co_uk.”
Another said: “Crying with laughter on a Monday night. Thank you @peterkay_co_uk xx

While a third wrote: “Watching Peter Kay on @BBCiPlayer #ComedyShuffle Comedy genius and so so funny. Man is a legend.”
“Loving #PeterKay on #BBC1. Laughing till I’m crying on a Monday. A first,” added another.
Other fans continued to write excellent things about the comedian, with one announcing: “Peter Kay is my favourite person of all time #comedyshuffle.”
Peter was last on screen in his final episodes of Peter Kay’s Car Share.
Before the final episodes he told fans: “It's absolutely wonderful hearing an audience react to what you've been working so hard on for so long.
“We'd screened both series there in previous years and it's really rewarding, plus you get to raise a bit for charity too."
And his co-star Sian Gibson said the pair were “always laughing” during filming.
She explained: “Nearly all of the laughter you see in Car Share is completely genuine.
"Peter knows how to make me laugh with just a look - so he constantly makes me giggle."
The final episode of the series saw John and Kayleigh hinting that they may get together.
