ITV Good Morning Britain: Piers Morgan WALKS OFF set as Susanna Reid replaces him
GOOD MORNING BRITAIN hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid got off to a hilarious start earlier today when they decided to go for a little switch-up on the top table, showing ITV viewers a new face.
GMB: Susanna blushes and hides her face after Piers' remarks
Good Morning Britain fans must have been shocked today when they saw a fresh face on the screen.
Piers Morgan began the ITV breakfast show by discussing how sombre the camera operating team were this morning.
But as he poked fun with one cameraman in particular, it seemed he was feeling particularly cheeky.
The outspoken host, 53, insisted how he wanted to switch with him in order to show how hard presenting Good Morning Britain is.
It all came about after Susanna Reid shared a snap of Carl the cameraman yesterday and viewers insisted they wanted to see him on screen more.
Piers wasn’t happy about the comments and insisted he could do a better job.
Charlotte giggled: “Have a go!”
And Piers left everyone stunned as he told Carl to “take a seat”.
Carl stepped up and sat next to Susanna, 47, while Piers attempted to get to grips with the huge piece of technology.
The presenter could be heard off screen saying “which camera is this?” as the show continued.
The camera flew around everywhere as one cameraman joked how Piers would kill someone.
But Piers ignored the criticism, and decided to focus on Charlotte instead.
He giggled how Charlotte was finally getting the “focus” she had always wanted.
And viewers were loving the scenes as they flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts.
One said: “Watching #GMB and @piersmorgan is like the boy at school who fancies a girl so is always being nasty to her and also constantly showing off (cameraman skills for example... not as easy as it looks eh Piers!). I feel so sorry for poor old @susannareid100, as it's relentless!”
Another added: “#GMB #piersmorgan legend.”
A third shared: “Definitely an improvement.”
A fourth commented: “Haha he's better looking.”
Earlier in the week, Piers Morgan defended Strictly Come Dancing’s Seann Walsh and Katya Jones over their kiss.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV from 6am.
