Strictly Come Dancing 2018: Kate Silverton and Aljaz reveal ‘argument’ over dance
STRICTLY COME DANCING 2018 couple Kate Silverton and Aljaž Škorjanec revealed on It Takes Two their upcoming performance has already caused some bickering among the BBC pair.
Strictly: Kate Silverton teases ‘seductive’ Jessica Rabbit outfit
Strictly Come Dancing pair Kate and Aljaž will perform the Foxtrot to Why Don’t You Do Right this Saturday.
The dancing duo appeared on It Takes Two last night with host Zoe Ball where they spoke about this Saturday’s “Movie Week spectacular”.
Viewers will recognise the song Why Don’t You Do Right as it was used in Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
Kate and Aljaž joked they argued over which of them will “seductively” dress as Jessica Rabbit.
We are still having that argument because I really still want to be Jessica Rabbit
It Takes Two presenter Zoe warned Strictly fans watching the show at home, saying: “Prepare yourselves viewers!
“Just when we thought things couldn’t get any more seductive, we find out you are dancing the Foxtrot as the iconic Jessica Rabbit!
“How is this going Kate?” as Aljaž interjected with a smile to say: “Beautiful!”
Kate revealed: “When Aljaž told me the first character I said, ‘Hang on, who is Jessica Rabbit here? Because that ain’t going to be me!’”
Dancing professional Aljaž laughed: “I was kind of hoping it was going to be me for a second!”
Kate continued: “The Foxtrot is beautiful. It’s Aljaž’s favourite dance so we really wanted to do that justice.
“But as Jessica Rabbit I am again on my own completely at the beginning.”
Zoe then teased: “Slinking about!” as Kate continued: “I mean, there’s all sorts going on now. I’m doing the long hair now.”
Host Zoe then quizzed: “Who are you being Aljaž? Are you being… Roger Rabbit?”
He replied: “Well yes, we are still having that argument because I really still want to be Jessica Rabbit.
“So it’s going to be a thing right up until the very last second.”
Zoe giggled: “Whoever looks better in the outfit!”
Elsewhere on the show, former professional Ian Waite appeared to give feedback on the rehearsals, but was involved in a hilarious moment.
Ian was seen waving his sparkly wand in Waite's Warm Up, giving his thoughts on the Strictly Come Dancing couples' training so far, but made a slight blunder as he momentarily forgot Shirley Ballas’ name.
He said: “I forgot who the judge was as I was going to mention it. That’s why we had that dramatic pause.”
It Takes Two continues tomorrow on BBC Two at 6.30pm.
Strictly Come Dancing will continue this Saturday on BBC One at 6.30pm, with the results show on Sunday evening at the later time of 7.45pm.
