Sunday Brunch: 'We’re not ready' Simon Rimmer and Tim Lovejoy PANIC when show begins
SUNDAY BRUNCH was joined by a whole host of celebrity guests this morning. However, once the credits for the show had rolled, viewers saw hosts, Simon Rimmer and Tim Lovejoy panic about not being ready.
Sunday Brunch: Tim and Simon reveal they 'aren't ready' for show
Sunday Brunch kicked off earlier this morning with hosts Simon Rimmer 55, and Tim Lovejoy, 50 presenting the episode.
And joining them on the show was Dragon Den’s businesswoman Deborah Meaden, 59, X Factor host Dermot O’Leary, 45, and musician Nile Rodgers, 66.
However, within minutes of going live, the hosts told the viewers to come back in a few minutes.
Joking around, the pair explained how they weren’t ready or prepared for the show to start.
“Hello and welcome to Sunday Brunch live,” Tim began and the turned to Simon and asked: “You ready Simon?”
To which he firmly replied: “No!” And the pair fell about laughing.
Nevertheless the hosts continued and Tim said: “I’m Tim Lovejoy and he’s Simon Rimmer. We’re actually not ready, can you just give us a couple of minutes!”
Viewers then saw the presenting pair confer with one another and their cue cards before introducing their guests.
Deborah, who joined Simon and Tim in the kitchen to cook first, also introduced the hosts to her gourmet sandwich.
“Chocolate sandwich. It’s basically, cheap chocolate in cheap white bread,” Deborah explained.
Viewers then saw all the guests tuck into a chocolate sandwich and give their verdict.
“I really like that,” Tim confessed, but Simon wasn’t too convinced with her recipe.
“Any butter?” He asked, “No, no butter,” Deborah replied.
Those watching at home were slightly confused by the sandwich and took to Twitter to comment.
One said: “Chocolate in bread? Get out of town! #SundayBrunch.”
“Lumps of chocolate in bread??” another tweeted followed by several sick face emojis.
A third asked: “How did she even come up with putting chocolate between bread?”
