Strangers: Jonah discovers TRUTH about wife’s second husband
The majority of ITV’s latest drama Strangers starring John Simm and Emilia Fox is filmed in Asia.
Hong Kong’s busy streets and colourful markets provided a spectacular backdrop for the show.
English actor John Simm, 48, plays Jonah Mulray, a London university lecturer who is afraid of flying.
When his wife is killed in a car crash during a six month working trip in Hong Kong, the nervous teacher must jump on a play to identify her body.
On arrival he learns that his wife has been leading a double life and must come to terms with the truth.
Emilia Fox, 44, plays a British consulate who tries to assist Jonah in his search.
Acorrding to an article in The Sun, the eight-part series was mostly filmed on Hong Kong Island where Jonah’s wife was living at the time of her death.
Locations included Causeway Bay, Wan Chai, Central and Mid-Levels.
Other scenes were filmed in Kowloon, the northern part of Hong Kong. Filming locations there included; Mong Kok, To Kwa Wan and Tsim Sha Tsui.
However, some of the interior shots were filmed in a London studio.
Strangers continues on Monday at 9pm at ITV.
