Coronation Street spoilers: Gemma Winter and Chesney for romance after Henry's exit?
CORONATION STREET this evening ended with Henry Newton’s sinister exit, yet there was a hint at it paving the way for Gemma Winter and Chesney Brown to get together finally.

There was a lot of drama in tonight’s hour-long episode of Coronation Street, most of it involving Gemma Winter’s (played by Dolly-Rose Campbell) now ex-boyfriend, Henry Newton (George Banks).
Needless to say, the fraudster was pretty quickly found out, and Johnny and Jenny threatened legal action against him.
It turned out that Gemma was the one who lifted the lid on his plot, who was trying to find a way to pay off his £20,000 debt which he owed to some very nasty people.
Gemma, who was fed up with all of his lies, then told Henry to leave, and he ended up asking Chesney (Sam Aston) for a ride.
Unbeknownst to Henry, Chesney had already met the two posh thugs who were out to get Henry, and as soon as he got into the car, they jumped in alongside him, and they drove off into the distance with Henry banging his arms against the window pleading for help.
Chesney then walked up to Gemma, who had watched the whole thing unfold, and asked her if she was OK.
She said yes and proceeded to invite him in for a cup of tea, and there was the clear indication of a possible romance between the two in the air.
They used to work together at the kebab shop, and Chesney has long harboured a secret love for Gemma and Henry’s exit could finally be the chance he was waiting for.
Viewers took to Twitter to voice their opinions on whether Chesney and Gemma should end up in a relationship.
“Chesney and Gemma need to be in a relationship,” wrote one fan.
Another said: “Maybe Chesneys the one Gemma.”
“Out the way Henry, make room for “Chemma”,” wrote a third viewer.
A fourth said: “Aww. Look at Gemma and Chesney. I hope they get together now.”
However, not all viewers were pleased with the way Henry was treated, and in particular, the way Chesney and Gemma seemed OK with letting potentially serious harm come to Henry.

One viewer wrote: “So he just let those two guys take him knowing they will do serious harm, maybe kill him? Err. Okay.”
Another one said: “Chesney happily letting Henry be taken away by people threatening physical violence against him. Feel sorry for him.”
“Actually thought that was a horrible ending for Henry in Corrie and Chesney and Gemma came across really badly. Violence no laughing matter,” wrote a third viewer who wasn’t pleased with the way Henry’s exit was handled.
Will Chesney and Gemma end up together? Only time will tell, yet there is support for the potential relationship among the Corrie fans.
Coronation Street airs on Wednesday at 7.30pm on ITV.
