Celebrity MasterChef 2018: Viewers left outraged over 'unfair' team challenge
CELEBRITY MASTERCHEF continued this evening and set off with a brutal challenge which pitted two teams of celebrities against each other in a race against the clock - but fans pointed out that it was a little one-sided.
Celebrity Masterchef: Josh reveals he wants to cook for fiancée
Today’s edition of Celebrity MasterChef saw Martin Bayfield teaming up with pop star Josh Cuthbert.
Likewise, comedian Keith Allen was partnered up with singer Carol Decker - however fans began piping up about the challenge in question, and whether it was fair.
Martin and Josh were tasked with creating a scotch egg from scratch, alongside a salad and a salmon quiche.
However Carol and Keith were simply tasked with creating a stack of pancakes, with a blueberry ganache.
Reading the instructions to their task, Martin commented: “Oh, I’ve never made a scotch egg,” while his cohort Josh was entirely clueless.
But Carol and Keith were utterly elated over their task, as Keith exclaimed: “I can make a pancake!”
Outraged by the seemingly unfair split between the teams, fans began tweeting their disdain.
One wrote: “Josh and Martin have to make a picnic, while the other two make pancakes? #CelebrityMasterchef.”
While another said: “Hang on a moment! One pair have to make scotch egg and salmon quiche whilst the other team has to make pancakes? How unfair and one-sided is that? #CelebrityMasterchef”
Another questioned: “Keith and Carol have to make pancakes, with a blueberry compot and walnut brittle…? #CelebrityMasterchef.”
Needless to say, Carol and Keith won the challenge, but Martin and Josh brought some of the fight back in the following challenge.
Martin was the topic of debate during last night’s episode, as it was pointed out that Gregg was noticeably smaller than Martin.
Fans were in hysterics, with one saying: “WHO SHRUNK GREG WALLACE?! #CelebrityMasterchef.”
Another added: “Honey, I shrunk the greengrocer! #CelebrityMasterchef.”
Celebrity Masterchef continues Thursday at 8pm on BBC One.
