THE GREAT BRITISH BAKE OFF is back tonight on Channel 4 and baking fans cannot wait to meet the new bakers. Here's a sneak peek at this year's contestants.
Great British Bake Off: 'Singing cakes' announce new series
The Great British Bake Off returns to Channel 4 this evening (Tuesday August) at 8pm.
Channel 4 will be airing the show for the next 10 weeks.
This marks the second series of The Great British Bake Off on Channel 4 after previously been shown on BBC.
The new series will kick off in traditional Bake Off style, starting with Biscuit Week.
Returning to the GBBO tent is last years judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith.
Joining them is last year's hosts Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig.
The series was filmed during Spring and early summer on weekends, so thecontestants could go about their daily lives.
Each one was sworn to secrecy and only their close relatives knew they were on the show.
Twelve contestants will enter the tent this year. Here's a sneak peek at this years bakers.
Ruby, 29 grew up as part of an Indian family and the youngest of her four siblings. She loves to bake cakes and pastries for her family and friends and says her love for baking was started by cooking for seven housemates whilst studying at university.
Rahul, 30 moved to the UK in his early 20’s from Kolkata, India. He said his move to the UK inspired his “East-meets-West” baking style.
Kim-Joy
Kim-Joy, 27, was born in Belgium but grew up in London and studied in Bristol and Leeds. She loves rustic baking alongside cute, attractive cakes. However, her true baking passion lies with bread.
Manon
Manon, 26, was born and raised in France learning to bake with her mother and grandmother. However, her move to London was what sparked her love for baking. Her inspiration combines her French heritage alongside her favourite London discoveries.
Luke
Luke, 30, is a civil servant and house and techno DJ from Sheffield. Luke began baking independently at age 10 making Victoria sponges, fruit cobblers and chocolate cake for his family. Now older, his baking is inspired by his travels throughout Europe and North America.
Terry, 56, says family lies at the heart of his baking. Terry’s father taught him how to bake bread and pastry when he was just 10-years-old and it was his daughters who persuaded him to apply for The Great British Bake Off.
Karen, 60, from West Yorkshire is the oldest baker on the show. Her love for baking was sparked when she lived in France with her husband for 15 years. Karen knows how to make the best prorofiteroles, Religieuse buns, tartes au citron and eclairs.
Jon, 47, from Newport in Wales discovered baking as a way to relax with his wife and kids after a long day at work. Jon is not afraid to experiment with baking techniques and explore alternative ideas.
Imelda, 33 grew up County Tyrone, Northern Ireland and is one of four siblings. She has a large family and loves to bake soda breads, biscuits and other sweet treats for her father, son, aunts, uncles, cousins and her work colleagues.
Antony
Antony, 30, describes himself as a “Bollywood baker”. He grew up in India and learned to love baking after being taught by his father.
Briony, 33, is a self-taught baker and full-time mum who used Youtube to learn her skills. Briony has been baking seriously since 2013 and since then has even created several wedding cakes and novelty cakes.
Dan
Dan, 36, is a perfectionist and is very particular about the aesthetic of his bakes. Dan is a father of two to young children and loves to bake at home surrounding with his family.

The teaser trailer opens with the words "Bake off is back"
It shows sad-looking bakery goods and Yorkshire puddings singing Christina Aguilera’s noughties hit “Beautiful”.
A chocolate hedgehog cake says “Don’t look at me” as a burnt cake is thrown in the bin.
The trailer ends with Noel, Sandi, Paul and Prue gathered round a very attractive looking three-tiered cake.
The Great British Bake Off will return to Channel 4 on Tuesday 28 August at 8pm
