ITV Good Morning Britain Ranvir Singh makes Westminster crash blunder - 'Let's be careful'
GOOD MORNING BRITAIN'S Ranvir Singh was overheard whispering to her colleagues after the breaking news of an incident on Westminster Bridge.
GMB: Ranvir Singh whispers ‘let’s be very careful’ live on air
Ranvir Singh appeared to accidentally interrupt reporter Richard Gaisford at Westminster Houses of Parliament this morning in an awkward moment on Good Morning Britain.
In the middle of breaking news, Richard reported how he and other bystanders heard a loud bang at the scene before being ushered away from the area by police.
"Let’s be very careful," she suddenly whispered. It was clear Ranvir didn't think her microphone was on, speaking to her colleagues and floor staff during the incident.
But the reporter on the scene, Richard, continued his report on the unfolding situation, adding: "Armed police were on the scene within minutes."
Richard then spoke to witness Jason Williams who revealed: “Well basically I’ve seen a man driving a vehicle, he’s gone into the bollards and crashed.
“Straight away I thought this is another terrorist attack so I just turned and started running.
“It was behind me yeah,” the witness continued, before saying: “No I didn’t see anyone else involved to be honest with you."
Regarding the police, Jason shared: “They appeared to be standing back so they were obviously a bit wary."
Ranvir then clarified: "He thought it was deliberate - we don’t know that at this stage."
The GMB host was keen to assure viewers at home they shouldn’t be worried unnecessarily as information still comes in.
“You don’t want to make assumptions,” she said.
“You can tell police are taking this very seriously,” Richard then continued, “they’re continuing to move the cordon back.”
