Shameful reaction of Spanish TV presenter to Manchester attack
After being told of the attack, Antonio Jiménez, asked whether the venue had anything to do with Manchester United or Manchester City and said “football was the most important thing”.
The TV show El Cascabel al Gato presenter’s comments were laughed at by a newspaper director Francisco Marhuenda, who was also on the programme.
Mr Jiménez said: “Manchester Arena? This stadium has nothing to do with Manchester United or Manchester City, right?
“I have that impression. No? For those of us who are football fans, we have no record that Manchester Arena is the stadium of the two teams of the city.”

To which the newspaper laughed and replied: “There's much more... I'm going to give you a lesson, dear brother, there are other things besides football.”
But the host infuriated viewers as he said: “No, sir, football is the most important thing. And Madrid much more."
Meanwhile, Twitter users have expressed their horror after a US journalist tweeted a sick joke in the aftermath of the Manchester Arena explosion, which has left 59 injured.

He tweeted: “MULTIPLE CONFIRMED FATALITIES at Manchester Arena. The last time I listened to Ariana Grande I almost died too.”
Others quickly replied to the shocking tweet, calling Leavitt "an embarrassment".
Charity CEO Mark Russel wrote: “Truly despicable someone would say such a thing as people lie dead in Manchester tonight - utterly contemptible.”
