A US television host took a swipe at Whoopi Goldberg a day after the Hollywood actress compared Donald Trump to the Taliban.

Greg Gutfeld mocked the comedian for running out of “Hitler analogies” as she likened the President’s values to those of radical Islamists.
Speaking on an American daytime chat show earlier this week, Whoopi offered her shocking assessment of Mr Trump.
She told The View: “We have a leader who’s repeatedly demeaned women, calling on the media to shut up, specifically wants to give preferential treatment based on religion, uh, are these values really much different than the Taliban?”

Are these values really much different than the Taliban?
Outraged by her comments, the political satirist hit back at Ms Goldberg, sarcastically suggesting it was “groundbreaking to hear a celebrity say something mean about the Taliban”.
Gutfeld suggested the Taliban “should sue” because Whoopi had “ran out of Hitler analogies”.
Speaking directly to the camera on Fox News, he criticised celebrities for their lacklustre approach to condemning radical Islam.
The Fox host mocked the comparison during his show
“As they bash the President I’m reminded how entertainers rarely express any rage over any strand of misogynistic Islamism - if they did we may talk their rage towards Trump seriously,” he thundered.
“A reminder, the Taliban throw acid over girl’s faces for going to school,” taking a more sarcastic tone, he continued: “Yeah, I guess that’s the like defunding planned parenthood.
“Radical Islam is all for killing gays and I guess that’s is the same as making some rude jokes.”
Gutfeld continued as he jumped to defend the Republican’s temporary travel ban on seven mainly Muslim countries.
The Fox host said it was designed to “separate homicidal maniacs from innocent Muslims”.
“Equating the butchers with those bent on stopping them is pure, mindless relativism,” he concluded.
Hitler expert Sir Ian Kershaw warned of simulates between Trump's America and the rise of Hitler
The controversial remarks come as a Hitler expert warned Donald Trump's America had chilling parallels with 1930s Germany.
Sir Ian Kershaw, who wrote a biography of the Nazi tyrant, raised concerned about the nationalism that put President Trump into power.
He said: "We thought it was overcome. But now these ghosts reappear. Parallels to the dark period between the two world wars are not to be overlooked."
