A MAN has been arrested after allegedly keeping the rotting corpse of his grandma stashed in 10 bin bags.

After receiving the tip-off, New York City police officers paid a visit to grandson Christopher Fuhrer's house.
There they found the decomposing body of 85-year-old Erika Kraus-Breslin on the floor of a bedroom.

He faces charges of not reporting the death to a health officer, the burial or body removal without a proper permit, and improper burial.
A post-mortem will take place in due course to determine the cause of death.
