The communist superpower is concerned about a growing number of “Chinese-origin” terrorists with the abhorrent jihadi sect, according to US media reports.
Russian bombs have been blasting 100 terrorists a day in Iraq and Syria since the start of the year.
Last year, ISIS claimed responsibility for the downing of a Russian plane carrying 224 passengers
That comes after Vladimir Putin promised to destroy the depraved Islamist extremists following a number of high-profile terror attacks.
In November, the group claimed responsibility for killing all 224 people on board a Russian passenger plane.
Bashar al-Assad asked for Vladimir Putin's help
An international coalition led by the US has been launching airstrikes against ISIS targets since September 2014 without permission from the United Nations.
The Kremlin joined the fight in September 2015 at the request of Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad.

Russia’s attack squad comprises of more than 50 aircraft and helicopters, including the Sukhoi Su-34 and Su-24M bombers, Su-25 and Su-30SM fighters and Mil Mi-8 and Mi-24 helicopters.
But since then, Russia has been accused of targeting moderate rebels who are receiving backing from the West.
Separately, Mr Putin has told a German magazine he wants to work more closely with Europe and the US to defeat terrorism.
