Welcome to Camp Jihad: ISIS photos show new recruits being put through paces
ISLAMIC STATE (ISIS) has released a series of bizarre photographs showing its latest recruits being put through their paces at a training camp in Afghanistan. However, their faces are entirely covered triggering speculation they may be children.
Shocking images released by the terrorist group show masked jihadis taking part in boxing and firing range drills, and appear to show them learning how to use an anti-aircraft gun.
The photographs provide a rare insight into the training techniques used by ISIS, with staged shots showing jihadis praying a strong feature throughout.
They also reveal how significantly the jihadis' presence has grown in Afghanistan since they declared a so-called Caliphate in the war ravaged nation at the start of the year.
Around 24 young men in uniform can be seen training with weapons in the images, which were taken at a training camp in eastern Afghanistan.
A message posted online alongside the photographs proudly announced that the men were the first "graduating batch of Soldiers of the Caliphate in Khorasan".
ISIS announced the foundation of a new so-called Caliphate in Khorasan - an ancient Islamic region encompassing parts of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran and India - in January this year.
But despite its slick propaganda operation the terrorist group has suffered crushing losses in recent weeks and is now seemingly close to collapse.
This week it emerged that some cowardly jihadis are even shaving of their beards and posing as women in a desperate bid to avoid detection, with some experts saying the group could be down to its last 30,000 fighters.
