A member of staff at the adjacent café told 7News there was considerable commotion following the collision.

Tony Rabie said: "We just heard a whole lot of screaming and heard something smash.

"We ran out from the barber shop next door and unfortunately there was an old lady just trapped under the car and another lady in front of the bakery."

The driver of the Camry had been parked beside the outdoor seating area when they lost control of the vehicle while pulling away.

Victoria Police confirmed no charges were laid over the incident.
