BREXIT Britain is set to become a major international tech hub thanks to a new £17.6billion free trade deal with Singapore.

The lucrative tie-up is the latest in a series of agreements the Government is trying to broker around the globe. Boris Johnson hailed the "fantastic" deal with the city-state, which follows an agreement with Japan.

"This is an important part of our vision of the UK trading with a network of dynamic nations across the Asia Pacific region," he said.
International trade secretary Liz Truss added that the deal, alongside an upcoming agreement with Vietnam, will help "secure certainty" for firms and "pave the way for new digital partnerships".
