Donald Trump set to SNUB Joe Biden’s inauguration as he refuses to accept election result
DONALD TRUMP has "no intention" of recognising Joe Biden as the new President of the United States and is set to snub the Democrat's inauguration ceremony, an insider has claimed.
US Election: Donald Trump booed on White House return
Millions of Americans took to the polls this week to vote for the next US President and after five days, it was officially announced Mr Biden was the winner of the election. But Mr Trump has continued to claim voter fraud.
Sources close to the White House have said Mr Trump will refuse to attend the inauguration of the “phoney President” as he continues to claim, without evidence, that he was cheated in the election.
One Republican source said: “He has no concession speech ready and no intention of recognising Joe Biden’s presidency.”
It is believed the atmosphere inside the West Wing is “manic, exuberant, energised and toxic” with some staff lighting candles to combat the smell of fast-food deliveries.
Another source added: “His sons and closest aides have been egging him on while no one else dares raise the delicate matter that he has lost and needs to consider life post-presidency.
“In his mind, he never looked past Election Day because he is superstitious and he thought it was bad luck.
“Now he’s hell-bent on creating a narrative that the election was fraudulent and so Biden is not legitimate.
“He believes there was a conspiracy against him from day one of his presidency - with the Russian influence hoax, the fake impeachment and now the fake election.”
Mr Trump has even claimed he will not attend the inauguration as it would be an “insult to democracy”.

“Trump is surrounded by his family and an army of lawyers and has been constantly on the phone,” a source added.
“He is in fighting mode and is saying Biden would be a phoney President and that he won’t turn up on January 20 [Inauguration Day] as that would be an insult to democracy.”
Mr Trump has filed several lawsuits claiming voter fraud and Republicans are looking to raise $60million to fund them.
In a statement, Mr Trump wrote: “This is no longer about any single election.

“This is about the integrity of our entire election process.
“We will pursue this process through every aspect of the law to guarantee the American people have confidence in our government.
“I will never give up fighting for you and our nation.”
Several White House sources also claimed Mr Trump will not leave the White House.
Mr Trump's former adviser John Bolton told Express.co.uk: "This is Donald Trump we are talking about, he is not going to go graciously."
After Mr Trump’s various outbursts over the election results this week, several Republicans distanced themselves from him.
Larry Hogan, the Maryland governor, said: "There is no defence. No person or election is more important than our democracy."
GOP rep Adam Klinzinger called Trump's comments at his press conference "insane".
"We want every vote counted, yes every legal vote (of course),” he said.
“But, if you have legit concerns about fraud present EVIDENCE and take it to court.
“STOP Spreading debunked misinformation.
”This is getting insane."
