The US presidential election results are being counted, and as of 8am (GMT) on Wednesday, November 4, the election has not been called. Donald Trump is projected to win the traditional battleground states of Florida and Ohio, as well as the usually Republican state of Texas. Joe Biden is hoping for victory in the so-called “blue wall” states of Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.
Donald Trump issued a confident statement during a conference at the White House earlier today.
Mr Trump declared: “Frankly, we did win this election”.
Mr Trump also claimed that his voters are being "disenfranchised", adding: "Millions and millions of people voted for us tonight.
"A very sad group of people is trying to disenfranchise that group of people and we won't stand for it. We will not stand for it."
