Piers Morgan confronts Donald Trump on 'white power' tweet – US President deletes video
PIERS MORGAN has confronted Donald Trump after the President retweeted a video a Republican supporter shouting "white power" in Florida.
Florida: Protesters clash at retirement village
On Sunday, the President shared a video of a man driving a golf cart plastered with Trump campaign posters where he is seen to shout "white power" in response to the protestor. The man then continues to drive off and is followed by other fellow Trump campaign supporters as they argued with protestors lining the street. In the tweet, which has now been removed, Mr Trump said: "Thank you to the great people of the villages.
"The Radical Left Do Nothing Democrats will Faill in the Fall.
"Corrupt Joe is shot. See you soon!!!"
In response, Piers questioned why the President shared the video.
He said in response: "One of those ‘great people’ shouts ‘WHITE POWER!’
"Are you endorsing that, Mr President?"
Although the President shared the video, it is now clear if he was certain as to what the supporter had said.
Deputy White House press secretary confirmed the President did not hear that portion of the video.
He said: "President Trump is a big fan of The Villages.

“He did not hear the one statement made on the video.
"What he did see was tremendous enthusiasm from his many supporters.”
Asked about the Tweet on CNN, US Secretary of Health and Human Services, Alex Azar insisted the administration would not endorse any racial discrimination of any kind.
Mr Azar said: "I've not seen that video or that tweet, but obviously neither the president, his administration nor I would do anything to be supportive of white supremacy or anything that would support discrimination of any kind."
