Melania Trump heartbreak: The tragic story of the FLOTUS’ unknown half-brother
THE TRAGIC story of Melania Trump’s little known half-brother and how he wants to meet his relative has been revealed.
Melania Trump appears to snatch hand away from Donald
Melania Trump has, since gaining the title of FLOTUS, remained tight-lipped about her origins and family. Little is known about the FLOTUS other than her Slovenian heritage and her lucrative modelling career prior to marrying Donald Trump.
However, a bombshell GQ investigation and interview with Melania from 2016 revealed how she had a secret half-brother who hadn’t been in contact with the FLOTUS - but wanted to reunite with his long lost sister.
Denis Cigelnjak, said he and Melania share the same father, Viktor Knavs - Knavs being Melania’s birth name.
Retracing the story from the beginning, GQ’s Julie Ioffe wrote: “Like Donald Trump, Viktor Knavs is not just a hard-charging businessman with a penchant for real estate; he is also viciously litigious when it comes to the women in his life.
“Back when Viktor was a driver, before he married Melania’s mother, he met a young woman in town named Marija Cigelnjak.
“They dated for a while, and in September 1964, she told Viktor she was pregnant.
She continued: “According to Cigelnjak’s testimony in a lengthy court record, Viktor offered to marry her, but quickly changed his mind, demanding that she have an abortion, this, Viktor said, was because the child was not his. A son was born in May 1965, and three months later, Marija sued Viktor for child support.
“Viktor continued to deny paternity—going into detail for the court about when he had sex with Marija and the rhythms of her menstrual cycle—prompting the court to order a blood test.
“Based on its results, the court determined that Viktor was, in fact, the boy’s biological father.”

The tumultuous tale led Denis to want to regroup with all of his sisters, though he said he did not want get involved with the Trumps.
Ms Ioffe recalled conversing with Melania about this, in which the FLOTUS admitted to knowing about her half-brother, she said: “When I asked Melania about this over the phone, she denied that it was true.
“Later, after I’d sent her documents from the Slovenian court, she wrote to me claiming she hadn’t understood what I’d asked, explaining, ‘I’ve known about this for years.’
“She added: ‘My father is a private individual. Please respect his privacy’.”

Ms Ioffe explained: “Denis lives in a tiny apartment in Hrastnik, the town where his mother, who passed away several years ago, once worked at the glass factory.
“She never married or had more children, and Denis says he has no memory of ever meeting his father, Viktor paid child support until the boy was 18 but never reached out.
“Periodically, Denis would hear stories about his father, but he said he was afraid to initiate contact and disturb the Knavs family.
“Now he feels it’s too late. He didn’t seek attention and says he wants nothing from his father or the Trumps.
“He wouldn’t mind meeting his half sisters, Ines and Melania, who, he’s fairly certain, don’t even know he exists.”
More recently, Express.co.uk reported on how the FLOTUS is “protective” of her marriage to Donald Trump - the pair having tide the knot nearly 15 years ago.
The couple face continuing allegations that their marriage is not a happy one, yet, Cliff Sims, White House Tell-All author, has consistently described the marriage as a positive relationship.
In a previous review of Team of Vipers, the tell-all book about President Trump, The New York Times wrote that the couple’s relationship defies “the public perception of their marriage.”
According to the review, the book depicts Melania as “protective” – especially when it comes to the White House staff, her husband and her son, Barron Trump, 13.
In the review, it highlights a particular anecdote that was used in the book, which claims Melania complained to Trump about a Politico article on his first communications director and that she suggested her husband tried to get rid of him.
Melania and Donald prefer not to speak publicly about their marriage, and instead focus on political matters at hand, but, in a recent interview, the FLOTUS said their relationship was simply “fine”.
