Brexit Party MEPs rip into 'not fit for purpose' Ursula von der Leyen in scathing attack
BREXIT PARTY MEPs Michael Heaver and Martin Daubney ripped into European Commission candidate Ursula von der Leyen claiming she was not popular with all German colleagues, with some dubbing her “unfit for purpose.”
Brexit Party MEPs to vote AGAINST Ursula von der Leyen
Brexit Party MEPs Michael Heaver and Martin Daubney said the Brexit Party would be voting against the one and only EU Commission President candidate Ursula von der Leyen. Posting a video on Twitter, the pair added that some German MEPs criticised her work as defence secretary and hinted they would not be supporting her either. After exiting the EU Parliament chamber the pair listed their criticisms of Mrs von der Leyen and the election process.
Mr Heaver said: “Hi guys so we have just come out of the EU Parliament chamber.
“We have heard from Ursula von der Leyen, the one candidate for EU Commission President because that is how things work around here apparently.
“We have heard some of the reaction, and one of the interesting things is that Nigel Farage wrote a very fantastic speech speaking on behalf of the 17.4million.
“But, interestingly I found a couple of German MEPs, Ursula von der Leyen’s own country, who were very critical of her.

"They were saying that she has been a poor defence minister. Martin, what do you make of that?"
Brexit Party MEP Martin Daubney said: “Yeah, they have been saying that she is not fit for purpose.
“They were saying that Germany won’t miss you which I thought was particularly amusing.
“But also the Greens and the Liberals were queuing up to sort of thank her.
“They were being sanctimonious and brown-nosey because she has promised to help on climate change.
Vince Cable branded 'hypocritical' by MEP over EU 'meddling'
“They are like 'hey, let's ignore democracy so long as we save the planet', well tickety-boo.“
Mr Heaver closed by saying that the Brexit Party and all of its MEPs are planning to vote against her in the crunch European Parliament vote on Tuesday evening.
EU Commission candidate Mrs von der Leyen's EU plan was also ruthlessly attacked on Tuesday morning by a German MEP who argued it was more of a “nightmare” after her speech in Parliament today.
Martin Schirdewan also took aim at plans for more spending towards defence and the idea of creating a “European space army” in the future.

While in the European Parliament chamber he said: “For the billions of Euros that are now to be invested in the European defence sector, you have made that clear in your address.
“That is money that would be far better spent on education, training and social justice, that money won’t be going to social affairs but into modern weapon systems.
“Some people are even dreaming of a European space army.
“To me, that sounds more like a nightmare than a dream.”
