PRESIDENT Trump surprised a crowd of his supporters at his latest ‘Make America Great Again’ rally by suggesting he could be about to leave shortly after he started speaking.
Trump threatens to LEAVE midterm election rally in Florida
The incident took place in Estero, Florida, where the President was delivering his address.
Trump asked the crowd: “Who voted? Who voted?”
Many of the rally attendees raised a hand which appeared to shock the President.
He commented: “Wow! Everybody voted already?
“Then what the hell am I doing here tonight? Goodbye.”
Trump then turned his back and appeared to begin to walk away as many in the crowd laughed and applauded.
The President was in Estero to support Greg Steube, Republican candidate for Congress.
Ramming his point home he added: “Looks like 100 percent of the people in this room voted already.
“Alright lets just enjoy ourselves.”
Early voting is allowed in 37 states and the District of Columbia.
Mr Steube addressed the rally and was applauded after stating his support for Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh and building a wall on the US-Mexico border.
Trump’s daughter-in-law, Laura Trump, also made an appearance by video.
The President went on to claim the upcoming election is a choice between “greatness and gridlock”.
He added: “The Democrats are going absolutely crazy folks.”
Trump also used the rally to reiterate his condemnation of Saturday’s Tree of Life Synagogue massacre and to claim he’s under attack from the “far-left media”.
His Democrat rivals are determined to make gains in the midterm elections.
Yesterday the party tweeted: “You know what’s really scary?
“Republicans retaining control of Congress in November. We can’t let that happen.”
