UK Weather forecast: FINAL DAY of sunshine before MISERABLE rain sets in after heatwave
BRITAIN is set to enjoy its final day of sunshine before rain sweeps in from the west across Northern Ireland and Scotland, ending the heatwave which saw the mercury hit 28 degrees over the weekend.

Across most parts of England, Wales and eastern Scotland, the weather will remain dry and bright with sunny spells throughout the day.
Met Office meteorologist Alex Deakin said: “Relatively light winds across the east will make it feel warm.”
However he warned it will feel significantly cooler than during the previous few days.
He said: “It will be nothing like as warm as recent days. A cooler feel compared to recent days.”

Temperatures will nevertheless reach highs of 19 to 21 degrees Celsius in parts.
Mr Deakin added: “These temperatures are still well above average for the time of year.
“Mid-teens will be fairly typical.”
Thick cloud will however build across Northern Ireland throughout the morning, and there will be some patchy rain across western Scotland by lunchtime.

This will turn heavier as the afternoon continues, and breezes will start to pick up.
Commenting on the fluctuating weather, Mr Deakin said: “It will feel quite a bit cooler in the west, especially with the rain across western Scotland and Northern Ireland.”
The rain will edge across much of Scotland during the evening rush hour, and will trickle into western parts of England and Wales during throughout the evening.
Mr Deakin also warned the rain will eventually push into eastern parts of England by the early hours of Thursday.

He said: “This could still be dragging its heels on Thursday morning, making for a bit of a grey, damp start across East Anglia.”
But he remained positive, adding: “This will scoot away, and then it will be a bright day on Thursday with sunny spells and a sprinkling of showers, chiefly over north east England and Scotland.
“And the temperatures will be in the mid-teens, feeling a bit cooler on some western coasts.”
