Autumn to arrive next week - putting an end to the Indian Summer
BRITAIN is heading towards the final few days of an Indian summer as forecasters warned temperatures are likely to fall from next week.
The weather already appeared to be changing as fog rolled across the River Tyne
Many parts of the country today enjoyed the sunshine and above average temperatures brought by an area of high pressure above Scandinavia.
But forecasters said the settled mild weather could soon come to an end.

Meteorologist Tom Crocker, from the Met Office, said: “It looks like this current week will be settled and it will remain settled into the start of next week.

“But then it looks like we will see the first signs things are changing, and towards the middle of next week it could be more unsettled, with wet and windy conditions.
