Britain will witness hot weather conditions as the latest weather maps show the country being blasted by an Iberian plume. Weather maps from WXCharts and Netweather.tv have turned red for June 24 indicating the possibility of warmer weather conditions.

Weather maps show that the temperature levels will go as high as 26C on June 24 bringing in respite from the wet and windy conditions.

Over the past many days, the UK has been experiencing interchangeable weather with many parts of the country still witnessing cold temperatures along with thunderstorms.

Netweather.tv maps show that the southern parts of the country will bake at 26C while the northern areas are likely to see mercury oscillating between 13-14C.

Areas such as London, Cardiff, Portsmouth, Birmingham, and Manchester are likely to sizzle at 26C for two days (June 24 and 25), maps suggest.

Even the northern areas of the country may stay warm as the weather maps suggest a possibility of 20C in parts of Scotland on June 25.

Jim Dale, a weather expert from British Weather Services told Express.co.uk: “The probabilities are high that we could see a settled weather.

“The shift is from the south, and the UK will start heating up, particularly south-east. The temperature will oscillate between 25C and 26C. It is going in the right direction but not before the time.

“I would fully expect we will see hotter days as we move into July. Temperatures may go up to 30C as go into July."

The Met Office’s long-range forecast between June 16 and 25 reads: “Into the start of this period, a continuation of a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers likely dominating most of the UK.

“Some showers are expected to be heavy and could be accompanied by the odd rumble of thunder. Temperatures likely slightly below normal for the time of year. Breezy in some coastal areas, most likely across the southeast and northwest.

“Later in the week and through the following weekend, confidence in any dominant weather pattern is low.

“As such, fairly typical conditions for the UK are most probable, with a mixture of weather types. This means some spells of drier, sunny weather but also some showers or longer spells of rain at times. Temperatures will most likely be close to or slightly below average.”
