BBC Weather: ‘80mm of heavy rain’ thrashes Europe as ‘wet and windy’ showers forecast
BBC WEATHER forecast a soggy Europe this week as “heavy rain” reaching as much as 80mm in quantity is expected to descend upon the continent and bring wind and “cool” temperatures with it.
BBC weather: Up to 80mm of heavy rain to hit Europe
BBC Meteorologist Chris Fawkes forecast a soggy Europe this week as he revealed “heavy rain” would be expected in some parts, The weather presenter noted the UK was already seeing some “wet and windy weather” across south east Europe and southern Turkey. He said we have seen as much as “80mm” in quite a short space of time.
Mr Fawkes told viewers: “Thanks to this area of cloud, this area of low pressure.
“The low is slow moving, slowly pulling away eastwards, so it should brighten up across most of Greece.
“But as it does so, have some cool northerly winds following.
“So it will be bright but a little on the cool side for the time of year.”
