Barnier aide says Love Island’s Hayley was RIGHT – Brexit COULD harm Britain's trees
EUROPEAN UNION chief Stefaan de Rynck confirmed that Love Island’s Hayley was right and Brexit could harm Britain’s trees.
Love Island: Hayley struggles to understand Brexit
Love Island contestant Hayley, who was unaware what Brexit was, asked last week if Britain leaving the European Union would mean that Britain will have no trees.
Michel Barnier's aide Stefaan de Rynck confirmed that Brexit could, in fact, impact Britain’s trees – he told The Sun that Brexit could affect the ”fight against illegal logging".
Mr de Rynck referendum a memo published by the European Commission stating Britain could be unable to trade timber with Europe if there is no deal in time for Brexit.
Last week some of the Love Island girls sat down to discuss the ongoing Brexit negotiations and its impact on Britain and the EU.
Does that mean we won’t have any trees?
Hayley, who could face eviction from the show tonight, stole the show as she said she didn’t know much about Britain leaving the bloc.
Georgia asked: “What do you think about Brexit?”
Hayley immediately replied: “What’s that?”
The girls, including Dani Dyer, went on to explain how it was the result of a referendum held on whether the UK would leave the EU or not.

But Hayley admitted: “I seriously don’t have a clue.”
Samira Mighty tried again to explain it, with better luck this time.
Georgia helpfully added: “Which would mean like welfare and things we trade with will be cut down.”
Hayley quizzed: “So does that mean we won’t have any trees.”
Samira thought Hayley said “cheese”, but Georgia was on hand to clarify.
She added: “That’s got nothing to do with it babe, that’s weather."
