BRITAIN’S choice to leave the European Union may have divided the nation, but it has also unleashed the UK’s creative streak.
Twitter users reacted to the shock Brexit victory with poems under 150 characters
Hundreds of people took to Twitter to rhyme about Britain’s departure from Brussels using the hashtag #WriteAPoemAboutBrexit.
Some sonnets were optimistic about the decision to cut ties with Brussels.

@RFHunt1 branded the Tory civil war between Boris Johnson and David Cameron a 'Eton mess'
Craig Little wrote: “Like a clingy ex, they're whinging to stay/But the people have spoken/We've had our say/goodbye EU/Hip hip hooray!”
But many focused on the bitter Tory civil war that ensued during the referendum campaign.

And @RFHunt1 wrote: “ETON MESS/Two posh boys/Now grown men/Gambled the Kingdom/For Number 10.”
Some disappointed users wrote couplets about alleged “lies” made by the Leave campaign.

The trend comes as a sombre poem appeared at the Glastonbury music festival pleading for calm in the wake of the historic vote on Tuesday.
Festival-goers woke up on Friday – the first day of the festival – to discover that Britain voted to quit the 27-nation bloc.
