BEAUTY “bra in a jar” products have never been more popular.
Sales of creams to minimise lines on necks and busts have more than doubled as women try to counter the “Madonna effect” of a young-looking face coupled with an older cleavage.
Sara Stern, director of beauty at Debenhams, said: “However much you take care of your face, ignoring the decolletage and neck area will betray your age in a second.
“The popularity of the hourglass figure shows no signs of slowing and toning creams, combined with a well-fitting bra, will maintain your assets.”
Rival store chain Selfridges has launched a treatment that combines a cream with a cupless night-time bra that keeps the breasts firmly in place.
