Winchester Cathedral was consecrated in 1093 with a number of important historical events taking place including the Funeral of King William II of England, the Coronation of Henry the Young King and his queen, Marguerite and is also the burial site of the famous author, Jane Austen.

The market has plenty on offer including arts and crafts, accessories and clothing, toys, decorations, homeware and even sustainable Christmas products.

Winchester also has rail links to London, Basingstoke, Southampton, Reading, the Midlands and beyond.

Winchester Christmas market officially opens its doors from November 22 to December 22 and admission is free.
