Urgent search for missing girls believed to be together who didn't return home

Police have launched an urgent search after two girls failed to return home on Wednesday evening. Nearly 24 hours have now passed since the teenagers from Newton Aycliffe, a town in County Durham, were last seen and concens are growing.

The 15-year-olds, who have been reported missing, are believed to be together. Summer is described as being around 5ft to 5ft 2inches tall, with dark brown hair with blonde highlights, blue eyes, and a nose piercing. She is believed to be wearing black leggings, a pink coat with a cream/white hoodie underneath, white crocs and black socks. Hollie is approximately 5ft tall with light brown hair and was last seen wearing a pink hoodie, a black coat, black leggings, and white clogs.

Anyone who has seen them or who knows where they are are being urged to call Durham Constabulary on 101.

A spokesperson for Durham Constabulary said: "Have you seen Summer and Hollie?

"The teenagers were reported missing after they both failed to return to their homes in Newton Aycliffe yesterday evening (February 25). The 15-year-olds are believed to be together.
