A Kremlin-aligned channel has reportedly issued threats to obliterate Downing Street using Vladimir Putin's Satan-2 mega-missile amid mounting fears of nuclear escalation.

The threats targeting the British Prime Minister's residence follow Russia's announcement of a successful launch of a 208-tonne intercontinental missile. According to the Kremlin, the weapon stands as tall as a 14-storey building and delivers a yield four times greater than anything produced by the West.

Voennaya Khronika, which translates to War Chronicles, boasts 310,000 subscribers and has released footage demonstrating how the devastating missile could obliterate Downing Street. A separate graphic published by the channel depicts Putin's Oreshnik super weapon aimed directly at NATO's headquarters.

Barrel of Black Caviar, another account fiercely loyal to the Kremlin, said, "Sarmat can destroy the British Prime Minister's residence." It added, "And Oreshnik can destroy NATO's residence."

The disturbing displays of Russia's missile capabilities emerged on the same day Putin showcased his latest weapons system. According to the Kremlin, it represents "the most powerful missile in the world."

To emphasise the weapon's formidable destructive capability, Putin appeared on television to highlight its explosive yield, claiming the warhead achieved a yield four times that of any Western equivalent.

Putin also asserted that the warhead travelled a distance of 21,750 miles. "It has the ability to penetrate all existing and future anti-missile defense systems," Putin said in his remarks. The Russian leader further claimed the missile system has "no counterparts in the world.

"The missile can move not only on a ballistic but also on a suborbital trajectory, which allows for a range of over 21,750 miles while doubling its accuracy and the ability to penetrate all existing and future missile defense systems," he added.

The testing also comes as the Russian leader made the ominous statement that he was planning to strike Ukraine with a "nuclear-scale" attack.

Putin issued a stark warning to Kyiv, threatening the most catastrophic strike of the conflict should Ukrainian drones disrupt his major military parade in Moscow.

Officials within the Russian Defence Ministry cautioned that civilians and diplomats should "leave the city promptly" if Volodymyr Zelensky targets the Red Square event, as it would provoke an immediate "massive retaliatory missile strike."

The Russian statement hints at the potential deployment of the hypersonic Oreshnik [Hazel Tree] missile.

"If you use several such systems in one strike at once - two, three, or four systems - it will be comparable in strength to a nuclear strike," Putin had previously said.

The Kremlin's warning surfaced against a backdrop of mounting anxiety in Moscow over Ukraine's increasingly formidable drone and missile capabilities.

According to one report, the mausoleum of Soviet founder Vladimir Lenin on Red Square could be used as a refuge for VIP guests attending the annual Victory Day parade.
