Cheryl Cole's divorce finalised as she vows: I’ll love Ashley always
CHERYL Cole’s divorce from cheating husband Ashley was quietly finalised yesterday.
The X Factor judge stayed tight-lipped as her marriage was formally ended with a decree absolute.
It comes just days after Cheryl, 27, broke down and wept as she talked about her failed relationship in an recorded interview to be screened on ITV1 on Saturday.
The Girls Aloud star told Piers Morgan: “Looking back on it, I feel numb. We had a great marriage and a fantastic wedding day but I don’t know where it went wrong. To this day I still question that.”
The split came after a string of allegations involving the Chelsea defender.
Cheryl sobbed as she told how she believed Cole was “a genuinely nice guy”, adding: “Once we get over this obstacle, I hope we can be friends again. A part of me will always love Ashley.”
The footballer, 29, admitted his “unreasonable behaviour” was behind the split. The couple married in 2006.
