Hate preacher Anjem Choudary's right-hand man, Mizanur Rahman was reportedly handed £1,300 in compensation following complaints about a strip search while at Belmarsh prison.

The 41-year-old convicted terrorist agreed to an out-of-court settlement after the incident, reports The Sun.

This comes on the heels of revelations that Rahman had been spouting off pro-Choudary tirades on TikTok. Choudary, aged 57, was slapped with a 28-year sentence for leading a terror organisation.

Both Rahman and Choudary were arrested in 2016 for rallying support for IS.

Rahman, who works as an accountant and is a dad to four, previously did time back in 2007 for inciting the murder of Western forces in Iraq.

He got the payout from the Ministry of Justice following a 2016 strip search for a contraband mobile phone, as confirmed by a source, reports the Sun.

Rahman has labelled the search "torture" and equated it to "human rights abuse".

When quizzed about his financial win, he dodged: "I don't want to go into the details. They admitted to it and they settled out of court after a long, long legal battle."

Rahman suspects he was singled out due to animosity towards Choudary, stating: "Wherever he went, I got caught in that crossfire."

The Ministry of Justice has defended its position, stating: "We only settle when it's in taxpayers' interest."

Anjem Choudary is facing a life behind bars after he was sentenced to serve a minimum of 28 years for overseeing the running of a terrorist organisation.

After a trial at Woolwich Crown Court, Choudary was convicted of taking a "caretaker role" in directing Al-Muhajiroun (ALM).

He directed the terrorist organisation for a significant period of time from 2014 onwards as well as encouraging support for the group by speaking during online meetings of the Islamic Thinkers Society (ITS).
