'Exhausted' Britons clamouring for Boris Johnson partygate row to end 'Move on!'
PSYCHOLOGIST Jo Cummings stressed that Britons are no longer enraged when reading about new party allegations against Boris Johnson as they would like to be fed with "more important" stories
Downing Street party leaks become 'draining' says Hemmings
Behavioural psychologist Jo Hemmings claimed Britons are beginning to feel bored about Boris Johnson's party revelations and would like to focus on other issues. The Prime Minister is engulfed in yet another party scandal after celebrating his 56th birthday party with 30 members of staff during lockdown in June 2020, prompting concerns over a party culture at Number 10. But Ms Hemmings stressed that people are "exhausted" and ready to move on, as she suggested compassion towards Mr Johnson is replacing the initial fury.
She told GB News that people are desperate to turn the page.
She said: "It has become quite exhausting, it’s a daily almost or three times a week, four times a week there’s another revelation.
"And you start to get a bit exhausted of it and so you can’t feel the same anger or resentment or whatever it was we felt by the first party.
"I think there’s a bit of sympathy going out there for Boris Johnson."

She claimed Mr Johnson could not have foreseen what he was letting himself in for after his rise to power two and a half years ago and more and more people now sympathise with him, realising the remarkable job he has done despite the pandemic predicament.
She said: "Firstly, apart from this, he stepped into the role of Prime Minister, he didn’t anticipate he would be going through having to deal with a pandemic, he did pretty well through vaccine rollout and other things.
"And secondly, I feel there aren’t many of us who would say we haven’t tried to cover up something to protect ourselves perhaps in the past.
"And he has now sort of pretty much lost control.

"It is a daily thing, we are hearing more and more and more.
"We are seeing what is going on, with Ukraine and Russia of which he has responded very well.
"Get that information out there, we know he didn’t own it in the beginning.
"He will have to be accountable in some way but it’s sort of becoming an irritant when people want to move on news-wise to other things that are going on in the world that are far more important currently.”

Met Police Commissioner Cressida Dick said that the force will launch an investigation in regard to the birthday party for potential lockdown-breaking rules.
She said: "As a result firstly of information provided by the Cabinet Office inquiry team and secondly my officers' own assessment, I can confirm that the Met is now investigating a number of events that took place at Downing Street and Whitehall in the last two years in relation to potential breaches of Covid-19 regulations."
Mr Johnson does not think he broke the law and is willing to "co-operate" with the police.
A spokesperson of the Prime Minister said: "The PM fully acknowledges the public's anger and concern about what has been reported, he has taken responsibility for his judgments made and it is right the Met should be now given the time and space to undertake their investigations."
