'I think he’d be brilliant' Danny Dyer wants Hugh Bonneville to join EastEnders cast
ONE plays a pub landlord and the other plays the Earl of Grantham, but it looks like Danny Dyer and Hugh Bonneville are keen to work together.
The 37-year-old actor is keen for Hugh to join the cast of EastEnders, and reckons he'd be brilliant in Albert Square.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Danny said: "I don’t think Downton is ready for me, but I want to get Hugh a part in EastEnders. I think he’d be brilliant. He’s a good guy."
When asked about the possibility of him visiting the Crawleys at Downton, he replied: "Nah. I’m all about EastEnders. I don’t want to be on any other show because EastEnders is the best."
And it seems as though 51-year-old Hugh quite fancies heading to Albert Square and joining Mick Carter and co.

"I’m a real fan of Danny – he’s a good giggle," he said.
The father-of-one admitted that if an offer came up to join the BBC One soap, he’d be there like a shot: "I am a jobbing actor and I will take whatever comes along, thank you very much. I would never say never.
"The actors who work in soaps are the hardest working actors. The amount of material they have to learn is phenomenal."
