'I was drunk' Sharon Osbourne recalls moment she cut her wrist to show Ozzy her love
SHARON Osbourne has opened up about the time she slit her wrist to show husband Ozzy Osbourne how much she loved him, describing the incident a embarrassing.
The TV presenter spoke openly about the sordid tale during her presenting stint on The Talk, revealing that she drunkenly took a "dirty steak knife" to her own wrist in a hotel room during Ozzy's then tour.
"I permanently scarred my wrist," she revealed before showing a number of visible scars under her shirt sleeve.
"I was on lockdown for being overdramatic and drunk at the time.
"This is a secret only Ozzy and I know, my children were never told," she added.
"I've never discussed it out of embarrassment of how stupid I was at the time to do such a thing to myself.
"I want to share this with everyone because it's a lesson learned. I learned a great lesson from this."
The former X Factor judge continued: "It's something that was done when I was 27. I was just going out with Ozzy at the time and we were working together and dating at the same time.
"He was married, had two children. I was free and single and wild. When we first got together, we would drink a lot together. We had a session, romance, drinking, partying.
"About four in the morning, he says: 'How much do you really love me? I don't know if this relationship is going to last.'

"And I'm saying to him, 'I'd do anything for you. I absolutely adore you, I'd give my life for you."
Putting her hands up in realisation of how stupid she had been, the flame haired 61-year-old added: "I'm very dramatic as you all know, and when I say something I like to follow it through. I'm like, 'I'll show you how much I love you, I'd die for you.'
"So I went to a room service table that was still in the room covered in fried and burgers and steak. And there was a steak knife. So I get the knife and I go, 'I love you so much,' slash, slash, slash on my wrist.
"Unfortunately for me, I kind of went too deep and it wouldn't stop bleeding. I aid, 'Dear, I think we need to call an ambulance.' I got sober very quickly."
Sharon recalled how the emergency medical technicians thought she'd attempted suicide despite her denials.
"They took me to the hospital... in Indianapolis somewhere on a tour. They put me on lockdown with the psych ward. There was nothing anybody could do. Ozzy and I weren't married. It was up to doctors to decide whether I was of sound mind to come out. That's very hard for me to prove," she added jokingly.
"So if anybody out there likes to cut or harm themselves or try to prove to someone...These scars are a big embarrassment.
"I tell everyone I was attacked by a dog.
"The stars don't go away, they stay with you. And it's like, grow up. It's sad, pathetic of a 61-year-old…it's a reminder."
