King Charles is celebrating his 77th birthday today by carrying out official royal engagements in Wales. While the monarch is set to be busy, he is likely to receive plenty of well wishes throughout the day, including from his nearest and dearest.

While many of these messages and best wishes will be exchanged privately, there will also be some public messages to the monarch. This already includes a birthday message from his eldest son Prince William, and William’s wife Princess Catherine, on social media.

The message read: “Happy Birthday to His Majesty The King.”

While the King’s other son Prince Harry, who quit royal life in 2020, does not have a public social media account , many may begin to wonder whether he and his wife Meghan Markle will post a public message to the monarch.

This is because Meghan does in fact have a public Instagram account that she uses to share all sorts of content, including birthday messages to family members such as Harry and the couple’s two children Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four.

Although Harry will no doubt be sending a message to his father privately, having said just months ago that his dad was to be his “focus” over the next year, whether or not any public message will be posted on Meghan’s account is anyone’s guess.

So, what do you think? Should Meghan Markle publicly wish her father-in-law King Charles a happy birthday? Vote below or here.

It is believed Meghan Markle hasn’t seen her father-in-law face to face for some time, with Meghan’s last visit to the UK being in 2022.

However, this is not the case for Prince Harry, who saw his father recently on a solo trip to the UK while Meghan and their children stayed at their home in Montecito, California.

While the relationship between father and son was believed to have been rocky for a while, it is believed their September reconciliation has seen amends start to be made.

It is not clear when the King and Prince Harry will next meet.
