Prince William and Princess Kate had a key role in making sure Andrew was fully removed from royal life, it has been revealed today. The Prince and Princess of Wales reportedly made it clear to King Charles that a full break from Andrew was the only way the monarchy could move forward.

This is believed to have helped the King, 76, in his decision to formally strip Andrew of all his royal titles and remove him from his Royal Lodge home in Windsor. This decision was confirmed on Thursday.

It is also believed the future King and Queen were concerned that the Windsor estate would be "forever tainted" if Andrew stayed there, a source told The Daily Mail.

Sarah Ferguson’s ‘loyalty’ to Andrew has ‘cost her’, friend says

Sarah Ferguson’s “loyalty” to Andrew Mountbatten Windsor has a part to play in her recent royal downfall, a friend of the former duchess has said. Over recent weeks, Sarah has kept a low profile after it emerged that she had emailed the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein in 2011 after he had been released from prison for child sex offences.

While this scandal has shadowed Sarah’s public image, her friend also believes that her continued friendship with her ex husband Andrew, formerly Prince Andrew, is part of her recent downfall.

Ex Royal Family courtier sums up Andrew's new life in one word - and he's going to hate it

Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, formally known as Prince Andrew, is set for a life change bigger than ever before within the coming weeks and months. On Thursday, Buckingham Palace announced that not only was King Charles removing “the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew”, but he was also evicting him from his 30-room Royal Lodge home on the Windsor estate.

Instead, the prince will move to a private property on the monarch’s Sandringham estate, where he can live out his life away from the royal world. The decision has been made as a result of Andrew’s scandals surrounding his previous association with the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, despite the fact the former prince has always denied any accusations against him.

While many believe things could be worse for the King’s brother in regard to his new housing situation, one former courtier said life will be “bleak” for Andrew.

Sarah Ferguson should give ‘her truth’ in one very public way, friend says

Sarah Ferguson, alongside her ex husband Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, has hit an all-time royal low over the last month. While Andrew has been involved in various scandals surrounding his previous association with the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein for years, and denies any accusations against him, Sarah has also recently found herself entangled in a scandal.

This is because just weeks ago, it was revealed that Sarah had emailed Epstein in 2011 after he was released from prison for child sex offences. In the email, Sarah called Epstein her “supreme friend” and apologised for criticising him in a media interview. A spokesperson for the former duchess has since said Sarah only sent the email as she feared he would sue her for defamation.

While Sarah may be currently hiding away, a friend of hers thinks she should reflect and then “have her truth” in a very public way.

Palace reveals what will happen to late Queen's corgis who live at Royal Lodge

Buckingham Palace has revealed what will happen to the late Queen Elizabeth II’s corgis who currently live at Royal Lodge. On Thursday, it was confirmed that Andrew Mountbatten Windsor would not only lose his royal titles, but his Windsor mansion too.

King Charles’ brother has lived in this Royal Family mansion for over two decades, with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson also living at the 30-room abode since 2008. However, while they co-habited successfully, the eviction from Royal Lodge is now bringing an end to the divorced couple living under the same roof.

Instead, Andrew will be housed at a private property on the King’s Sandringham estate, while Sarah will sort out her own housing arrangements.

This news brought many questions to the surface, including about what would happen to the late Queen’s two corgis Muick and Sandy, who have lived with Andrew and Sarah since Her Majesty’s death in 2022.

POLL: Should Beatrice and Eugenie be stripped of Princess titles after Andrew scandal?

Andrew has faced the ultimate royal downfall this week after it was announced on Thursday that he would formally lose all royal titles. The King’s brother, who is now known simply as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, has been removed from the royal stage entirely after being entangled in various scandals surrounding his previous association with the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

While Andrew denies all accusations against him, he has faced the wrath of public criticism, which has led to not only him being stripped of his royal titles, but also his Royal Lodge home. This was confirmed by Buckingham Palace, who said the prince would vacate the 30-room mansion and move to a property on King Charles’ private Sandringham estate instead.

However, while Andrew has essentially been demoted from royal life, this has not happened to his daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

However, is this decision to allow them to keep their titles right or should Beatrice and Eugenie be stripped of Princess titles after the Andrew scandal? Vote here.

OPINION: I can't believe what King Charles has just done - but I'm certain he's saved the monarchy

I would be lying if I said Buckingham Palace’s statement on Thursday did not stop me in my tracks. Sitting at home on the sofa, I almost could not believe what I was reading. Of course, as a royal reporter covering Andrew’s latest scandals and predicaments, I knew a statement about an eviction from Royal Lodge in Windsor was likely. But a statement stripping him formally of every royal title, even that of ‘prince’, was something I just did not expect.

While I do not think this was a step too far, and in fact, in hindsight, it is really the only appropriate course of action King Charles could have taken, I was still very taken aback. This was mainly because I did not know that our 76-year-old monarch had it in him to reduce his brother from the title Prince Andrew to Andrew Mountbatten Windsor - a name that, apart from its royal connotations, does not make him seem too different from me or you.

Beatrice and Eugenie 'more upset with Fergie' and 'worried' about Andrew's mental health

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are reportedly more upset with their mother Sarah Ferguson than they are with their father Andrew Mountbatten Windsor after their latest royal downfall, it has been revealed. The two princesses have spent recent weeks watching their parents become entangled in various scandals surrounding their previous association with the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

The Daily Mail’s royal editor Rebecca English said that she was told the “tripod” - a nickname once used to describe the princesses close relationship with their mum - had “collapsed”.

Princess Kate's favourite fashion brand announces shock closure – 'the time has come'

A fashion brand  loved by the Princess of Wales will close down for good. Eponine London confirmed in a statement that "the time has come" for the store to close.

They said: “It has been the most wonderful journey, full of highs that I could never have dreamed of, but the time has come for us to close our doors in pursuit of pastures new.”

Founded in 2011 by Jet Shenkman, the brand was popular thanks partly to Princess Kate - who wore a gingham shirt suit by the designer in 2016.

Queen Camilla 'at heart of decision' to strip Andrew's titles, claims expert

Queen Camilla was at the heart of the decision to strip disgraced Andrew of his titles and home, according to a leading royal expert. Camilla, 77, who has devoted years to supporting victims who suffer abuse, coercive control and sexual violence, was left “greatly embarrassed” by the former Prince’s links to paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Putting her name to the statement alongside King Charles, 76, showed they were standing “shoulder to shoulder” on the issue, according to former BBC royal correspondent, Jennie Bond.

Beloved member of the Royal Family crowned most popular in new poll - and it's not Kate

Prince William has been crowned as the most liked member of the Royal Family in an Ipsos poll - beating Princess Kate to the top spot. The Prince of Wales was ranked having 69 percent favourability, and received 11 percent of votes from the public for 'unfavourability'.

This places him ahead of the Princess of Wales, where 66 percent of voters had a favourable opinion of her. 1,036 participants aged 18-75 voted in the poll between October 20-21 of this year. Results also show Prince William's percentage vote has increased by 4 percent since the start of the month.

Prince Louis' cheeky six-word demand to Princess Kate on first royal engagement

At just seven-years-old, Prince Louis has been on the royal stage many times now for big events. While he often appears at Trooping The Colour celebrations and the annual Christmas Day walkabout, he has, like his siblings, only attended very few royal engagements with his parents Prince William and Princess Kate.

However, while he has only attended just a few, he has managed to capture the hearts of the nation every time. This includes one of his first official royal engagements in 2023 when he stepped out with his family in Slough.

Throughout the day, Louis and his family helped carry out various tasks, which included painting, resetting a path and helping with the outdoor space at a Scouts hut.

However, while Louis seemed to enjoy himself, he did have a rather cheeky demand to mum Princess Kate when he wanted to operate a digger with his older brother George.

Andrew's downfall would have prompted one clear feeling in Queen Elizabeth II - expert

Queen Elizabeth II would have been “devastated” about Andrew’s royal downfall, a royal expert has claimed today. On Thursday, Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles, 76, had started a “formal process” to remove the style, titles and honours of his brother Andrew, formerly known as Prince Andrew.

This comes after the reputation of the non-working royal, who is now known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, was tainted by his previous association with the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Although Andrew, who is also set to move out of his Royal Lodge home, has always denied accusations against him, the monarch decided to essentially rid Andrew from royal life altogether. While the move was deemed necessary as a result of public outcry, one royal commentator believes that if the late Queen Elizabeth II had been on the throne, Andrew, 65, would not be in the position he is now.
