Meghan Markle has been criticised by commentators after saying her podcast ended by choice — despite its abrupt disappearance from the charts. During an interview with entrepreneur Emma Gaude, the Duchess of Sussex insisted she was simply too busy to carry on with Confessions of a Female Founder, saying: “At a certain point the only thing I want spread thin is my jam.” However, broadcaster Dan Wootton dismissed the remarks as spin, claiming: “No one is demanding this series... it’s been a total disaster.”

He added, referring to Meghan's first podcast series, launched with Spotify in 2022: “Just like Archetypes, this goes down as another one-series flop because Meghan can’t commit to a single thing.” Despite no confirmed renewal, Meghan claimed fans were eager for more and suggested the show might return later in her “founder journey".

Meghan Markle skewered by royal expert who says 'I don’t believe a word she says'

Royal experts have weighed in on Meghan Markle's request that people "tell the truth" about her during her latest podcast appearance with businesswoman Emma Grede. On the podcast, Meghan revealed that she wanted people to "tell the truth" about her when she was asked, "If you could rewrite your public narrative from scratch, is there anything you would do differently?"

On the Sun's Royal Exclusive show, news commentator Samara Gill spoke to the outlet's royal editor Matt Wilkinson. She said: "The fact is she is a constant liar and her whole brand is built on a spin of lies. I don't trust a word that woman says. I think it is very, very low for her to insinuate that we should listen to her truth or that the Royal Family should tell the truth."

The couple have been dating for over a year, but this is the first time the two attended a royal engagement together, which was seemingly royally approved by the King.

At the end of the procession, those in carriages mingled on the race track before heading to the royal suite, where Harriet was warmly welcomed to the royal event by Charles and Camilla.

Royal breaks silence on abdication rumours in rare interview about his future

King Philippe of Belgium has opened up about whether he will abdicate or not in a rare new interview. The Belgian monarch, 65, appeared in a new video posted by the country's royal palace on social media and answered various questions from members of the public.

One of the questions he received was whether he would carry on working or whether he would step down, so his daughter, 23-year-old Princess Elisabeth, could take on his role. Philippe ascended to the Belgian throne in 2013, aged 53, when his own father, King Albert II, abdicated due to health reasons.

Royal makes first appearance since horror horse injury

A royal has made her first appearance again this week since suffering a horror injury earlier this month. Princess Catharina-Amalia, first-in-line to the Dutch throne, stepped out on Wednesday with her arm in a sling, alongside her father King Willem-Alexander, 58, to attend the presentation of a new standard to the Princess Catharina-Amalia Hussar Regiment at the Prince Bernhard Barracks in Amersfoort.

The royal outing, which saw her father inspect the troops and deliver a speech, comes just eight days after the princess had surgery on her broken upper arm at the UMC Utrecht. The injury came about after Catharina-Amalia, 21, fell off her horse earlier this month.

Prince William teams up with Hollywood legend for latest outing

The Prince of Wales travelled to Norwich on Thursday to visit an Earthshot Prize Finalist along with a very special guest. Joining forces with actress and Earthshot Prize Council member, Cate Blanchett, Prince William visited Colorifix, a UK-based biotechnology which creates sustainable dye for clothing.

When they arrived, the duo toured the company's laboratories and were taken through each stage of the dye process. While there, the prince and Ms Blanchett were shown how Colorifix can identify the DNA code that produces the pigment and how the dye liquid is attached to the fabric before hearing about how the process saves water, energy, and carbon emissions at every step.

Everyone says the same thing after Princess Kate's mum Carole seen with King at Ascot

While Princess Kate did not attend Royal Ascot yesterday, royal fans were delighted to see her mum Carole Middleton take to the stands with the royals. As well as being spotted sharing a hug with her son-in-law Prince William, 42, Carole was also seen watching the races with King Charles, 76.

Although Carole and the rest of the Middleton family are often invited to major events, such as the King’s Coronation in 2023, it isn’t often you see them enjoying a good laugh with the monarch. However, this was exactly what Carole did yesterday, as she was seen engaged in conversation with her daughter’s father-in-law.

Princess Kate Royal Ascot mystery explained - as sources lift lid on last-minute change

Princess Kate pulled out of Royal Ascot yesterday as she continues to prioritise her health following her cancer diagnosis last year. Having completed her treatment last September, Kensington Palace made it clear that she would gradually return to royal duties.

Sources insist that yesterday's last-minute change to the royal guest list was no cause for alarm and that the publication of the first carriage list, which included the Princess, was simply an error, as the Palace had informed the racecourse that she would not be attending.

Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie are celebrating 26 years of marriage today. The couple tied the knot on June 19, 1999, and now share two children - Lady Louise Windsor, 21, and James, Earl of Wessex, 17.

As they celebrate 26 years of wedded bliss, the couple now appears stronger than ever after anything but a smooth ride and have increasingly become two of the most popular royals. Known for their low-key approach to royal life, the pair have opted to live a life majorly away from the spotlight—although they are never shy in elevating their roles within the monarchy.

Prince Andrew's 'secret behind-the-scenes' role

Prince Andrew may no longer be a working royal, but it turns out he does still have a part to play in the inner circle of royal life. After being involved in a number of scandals over the last few years, including being accused of sexual assault by Virginia Giuffre - claims he has always denied - the Duke of York has been seen less and less in public with the Royal Family.

This year alone, Andrew has only been seen with his royal relatives in public once, when he arrived for an Easter Sunday church service in Windsor. However, it seems that while his public royal appearances are very few and far between, this is not the case behind closed doors.

Prince Harry's ally reveals why he changed his mind on Archie and Lilibet pictures

Prince Harry is said to have had a change of heart and is now "happy" for pictures of his children to be shown to the world - but for one heartbreaking reason. Speaking of the royal, an insider close to the duke revealed that Harry is hoping that his father will see pictures of his two youngest grandchildren and see what "he is missing [out on]".

King Charles is thought to have only had one meeting with his granddaughter Lilibet, who recently celebrated her fourth birthday, in 2022. Despite being born in the UK in 2019, Archie - now aged six - is said to have spent very limited time with his paternal grandfather.
