A rare $1000 note bearing the late Queen Elizabeth II from the Board of Commissioners of Currency of Malaya and British Borneo has been sold for a staggering £150,000 (S$260,000).

It is reportedly the "most expensive" note to bear the portrait of Elizabeth II as Queen, and the first time this type of note has been under the hammer at a public auction.

The note dates back to March 21, 1953, and was issued in the first two years of her reign.

Royal fans were delighted after Meghan Markle launched her new online shop on Monday.

The Duchess of Sussex took to her Instagram stories to post a ShopMy link featuring a collection of some of her favourite clothes and accessories, with the message: "Many of you have asked, so here you go! A little shopping to start the week. More to come".

Several of Meghan's signature pieces are listed on the page, including her white linen shirts, striped shirts, various jumpers in her favourite colours, and her beloved YSL sandal slides.

Fans went into a frenzy over Meghan's latest move and took to social media to express their excitement over her shopping closet.

The mostly neutral-coloured items include an oversized white shirt by Reformation for £128, a beige Uniqlo raincoat costing £99.90 and a gold Maya Brenner Happiness Retreat citrine stone necklace, made in collaboration with Meghan's former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer, for £383.

The total of all the items listed rounds up to around £11,000.

Princess Eugenie has revealed the sweet nickname that she has for her older sister, Princess Beatrice.

Taking to her Instagram account on Sunday, Eugenie, 35, shared her pride as Beatrice, 36, recently spoke to British Vogue about her fears following the early arrival of her second daughter in January.

Sharing British Vogue's latest post, Eugenie voiced how proud how proud she is of her sister - who she has nicknamed "Bea bea".

Meghan Markle has teamed up with a major fashion website to allow her fans to recreate her style.

She then links to a 'shop my closest' page with over a dozen pieces of clothing, jewellery and handbags to choose from.

The website allows users to create "custom collections of your favourite products and gift guides".

A source close to Prince Harry's partnership with Netflix has shared that the reports of a pending documentary about the late Diana, Princess of Wales are "not true". It was recently reported that Prince Harry had been approached to make a three-part documentary about his late mother to coincide with the 30th anniversary of her tragic death in 2027.

As the anniversary looms, a senior Hollywood source shared that a documentary would be released to mark the anniversary. The Independent have, however, now shared that these reports are "not true" - with no further comment being made in relation to the earlier report. The latest report came shortly after Meghan released her new Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, on March 4.

Prince William has cracked a hilarious 8-word joke to pay tribute to Dame Mary Berry on her 90th birthday today. The 42-year-old is set to make an appearance on tonight's BBC The One Show, with a special tribute being made to mark the national treasure's milestone birthday.

Along with a host of famous faces, such as Dame Joanna Lumley and Paul Hollywood, William couldn't help but crack a joke about Mary's potential birthday cake - and who was going to have the daunting task of making it for her. Just like with Princess Beatrice and the early arrival of her daughter Athena, there is another royal couple who also opened up about their terrifying experience when welcoming their first child. The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh also endured a nerve-wracking ordeal when their now 21-year-old daughter, Lady Louise Windsor, arrived prematurely in 2003.

The youngest granddaughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II, was born on November 8, 2003, around the 36-week mark in Duchess Sophie’s pregnancy. Just one year earlier, Sophie had been airlifted to hospital after suffering an ectopic pregnancy.

Princess Margriet of the Netherlands has been treated in hospital after unfortunately breaking her arm while taking part in a winter charity event. According to a local Dutch news agency, ANP, the royal, 82, was taking part in Hollandse 100, which was held at the Thialf ice rink in Heerenveen in Friesland - in the country's northern part.

An official spokesperson for the event told the NL Times Princess Margriet had been rushed to the hospital via ambulance "as a precaution", after falling on the ice, but was "fully responsive" after she was checked over, and was wearing a helmet. The royal palace is expected to make an official statement on Princess Margriet's health.
