Melania Trump opens up on key Royal Family member she has been 'pen pal' with for years
The First Lady and US President Donald Trump are believed to be very fond of the British Royal Family.

Melania Trump has been exchanging letters with one senior member of the Royal Family for years, with the First Lady of the United States revealing this in her memoir last year.
Donald Trump’s wife said in her memoir titled Melania that she had an “ongoing correspondence with King Charles III”, with the pair having first met in 2005.
They are then believed to have rekindled their friendship during Mr Trump’s state visit to the UK in June 2019, undertaken as part of his first presidency under the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.
As reported by People, the First Lady wrote last year: "As we bid farewell to Her Majesty, we extended a cordial invitation for her return visit to the United States.
“She expressed her gratitude with a warm smile. Sadly, Her Majesty wasn’t able to visit with us again before her death in 2022, but our friendship with the Royal Family continues, and we exchange letters with King Charles to this day."

Although a state visit is not yet planned, the Daily Mail Royal Editor Rebecca English said on the Palace Confidential programme that she believes the King, 76, will be interested in hosting Donald and Melania Trump at Windsor Castle.
She also believes the US President and his wife would gratefully accept this offer.
While Mr Trump has been vocal of his dislike for the King’s youngest son Prince Harry, who quit life as a senior royal in 2020, he has been the complete opposite when it comes to other royal family members.
In the docu-series Art of The Surge by the former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, Mr Trump could be seen looking at photographs of his time with the Royal Family.

He then said: “This is with Queen Elizabeth, who was fantastic, by the way. These images - I mean, who has images like this? And these were relationships, too.”
Talking about the King, Mr Trump said: “Hopefully he’s going to be well, because he’s a really good person. Camilla is fantastic. You get to know them so well.”
The US president has also not held back from flocking praise on Prince William, as shown after their meeting in December last year.
The two men met in Paris, where they attended the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral following a devastating fire in 2019. Mr Trump told the press at the time: "He's doing a fantastic job."
